As Michigan is being allowed to “open back up” from the shutdown of the Covid – 19 Pandemic we will be faced with even more challenges to comply with the State regulation and Health Department guidelines and rules. As the new term and actions of social distancing are administered. Please respect the seriousness of the situation.
Our Pines Golf Course and Jack Pine grill are open and operating. Sunshine galore is in the future check out our website or call the Golf Proshop for a tee time and get outside and enjoy our beautiful golf course.
Inn the Woods is now open for Dine In service there are many strict social distancing and sanitizing regulations including wearing of face masks of both guest and employees. Dining in will be a different experience than in the past but we are committed to serving great food and looking forward to putting Inn the woods restaurant on the map again. We have started with assembling a great team in the kitchen and I am pleased to announce that our new chef will be Darrell Callison, Darrell has been a part-time employee for many years and is now committed to bring fresh, local great food back to Michaywe. Adam Popp is also in the kitchen as sous chef, Adam also brings to the table the joy of creating great food and rounding out the team concentrating on growing our business with, Member sponsored events and group business will be John Kaye. John does not really need any introduction; he is extremely excited to return to this community and bring his vast knowledge and creativity to the team. Kyle Malczyk is the front of the house manager. Kyle also is a valuable part of this team ready to greet you and make sue you have a great experience at Inn the Woods We will be open for business Wednesdays thru Sunday. Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Happy Hour is 4pm – 6pm come on in and check out our new menu which is loaded with fresh local items. We will also have outdoor seating available weather permitting.
The Outdoor Pool is open and ready for visitors please be a considerate member and limit your time at the pool so all can enjoy. Do not forget we are still mandated to operate under the limitation of the Heath Department Covid-19 rules. 50% capacity and 6 foot social distancing rules. The hours of the pool are now Mon – Tuesday 9 am until 8 pm Wednesday – Sunday 9 am until 9 pm. PLEASE BE A THOUGHTFUL NEIGHBOR AND LIMIT YOUR TIME AT THE POOL SO ALL MEMBERS CAN ENJOY. The indoor sauna is closed due to state regulations.
Opal Lake Park is now also open for use. Park hours are posted. 11a.m. until 7 p.m. If the gate is locked the park is CLOSED. You are considered trespassing if you “jump the fence” and may be prosecuted. Do not park on the road and crawl under the gate. This park is governed by rules and regulations that date back to 1978. Please abide by them. I have received many complaints and the park has only been open since June 5. Rules and regulations are posted at the park and on the Michaywe website. Kayaks and small vessels are prohibited from launching at the park please use the public access on the lake. Get outside and enjoy the beautiful days ahead.
